Hi Kid3001,
thank you for your comment.  These lanterns were certainly a visual focal point at the festival.  When I first saw them from afar, I though I would like to photograph them laying on the ground and looking straight up.  But this meant the bare light bulbs were showing.  I  settled on this angle.
